FIR filed for murder, abduction against STF Policemen in Seshachalam Encounter Police on Wednesday told the Andhra Pradesh High Court that an FIR has been filed against Special Task Force policemen for murder and abduction in the April 7 encounter where 20 alleged red sander smugglers were killed in Chittoor district.

Filed by one of the deceased wife, the petitioner also appealed for re-post mortem of bodies and the issue will be taken up in Court on Thursday.
Police officials stated that a joint operation was launched with the help of forest officials in Seshachalam forest near Tirupati where the Red Sanders Anti-Smuggling Task Force (RSASTF) and forest officials intercepted the Andhra Pradesh Police officials after spotting the alleged smugglers inside the forest area.
Several political parties questioned the police action claiming that the Andra Pradesh STF killed labourers and not red sanders smugglers.
