Seshachalam encounter case hearing tomorrow

The PIL Bench of the High Court at Hyderabad on Wednesday adjourned to Friday the Seshachalam encounter case. As reported earlier, the Bench comprising Chief Justice Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta and Justice P V Sanjay Kumar was dealing with a public interest petition filed by the president of Good Governance Society.

The petitioner complained that the encounter, where 20 woodcutters were killed, was staged. Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh government informed the court that the comprehensive first post-mortem report would be submitted on Friday. The second autopsy report of six woodcutters was submitted to the Bench in a sealed cover. The Bench adjourned the case to facilitate the first comprehensive post-mortem report.
