For the second consecutive day, Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation bus services continued to affect due to the indefinite strike across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. With EAMCET exam scheduled on May 8, the authorities are making frantic efforts to resume the bus services as soon as possible.

The official status report stated that the 1,979 of the scheduled 6,461 bus services were operated across A.P (30.6 percent) but in Telangana only 478 of 6,243 buses (7.5 percent) were operated.

Chief Traffic Manager S. Suresh Kumar said that Regional and Depot Managers are being asked to ensure that hired buses could be brought out of the depots using temporary drivers to help the estimated 2 lakh students who would be taking the EAMCET examinations on Friday.

Joint Managing Director (Telangana) G.V.
