Expressing anger over APSRTC union employees ignoring the High Court to call off the RTC strike, the vacation bench of the High Court in Hyderabad on Wednesday issued notices to DGPs of the both states - AP and Telangana to make sure that RTC Buses run with security measures.

With the RTC buses off roads for the eighth day, lakhs of commuters are facing inconvenience.

The High Court also directed both the state governments to make alternative arrangements to operate bus services for the commuters and take appropriate actions against the RTC employees if they obstruct the bus services. Also, under the Section 12, a show cause will be served to RTC association if they ignore the directives issued to them once again, said the Court.

RTC Unions however, criticized the High Court for issuing notices to call off the strike instead of directing the state governments on salary hike and APSRTC bifurcation. The Union leaders have requested for more time from the Court so as to meet their demands from the State governments.
