Assembling in large numbers at the Visakha Collectorate, CPI activists as part of 'jail bharo' protest staged massive dharnas against the land acquisition ordinance in Andhra Pradesh.
The CPI activists raised slogans against central government in places - Visakha, Vizianagaram, Guntur, Anantapur. With the protests turning violent, the police intervened and arrest many CPI members.
Not only in Andhra Pradesh, the CPI activists also staged protests in Telangana before the Collectorate offices.
