scam unearthed in bus depot
A major scam, in which cash worth Rs 11 lakh was embezzled, in APSRTC depot at Nandikotkur town came to light on Monday. Going into details, the bus Depot Manager Shyam Sundar recruited eight workers on contract basis to clean and wash the buses, but in the official records, it was mentioned that 13 persons were hired for cleaning the buses.

Going into details, the bus Depot Manager Shyam Sundar recruited eight workers on contract basis to clean and wash the buses, but in the official records, it was mentioned that 13 persons were hired for cleaning the buses.
The Depot Manager included the names of the other five fictitious members in the attendance register and was drawing Provident Funds on their names for the last two years, thus swindling nearly Rs 11 lakh. The employees of the Nandikotkur APSRTC depot were wondering as to what action would be taken against the Depot Manager, as conductors are placed under suspension even if there was a discrepancy of Re 1.
