Differences between Telugu Desam President and AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his brother-in-law, Harikrishna came to the fore once again on Wednesday as the latter’s son, Junior NTR was not invited to the three day conclave - TDP Mahanadu.

However, TDP leaders clarified that an invitation had indeed gone to Mr. Harikrishna and Junior NTR’s name was included in the same invitation for the inaugural event of the Mahanadu.

Earlier in 2009 elections, Junior NTR was given prominence as a TDP leader and was considered a preferential candidate according to Chandrababu Naidu in the TDP campaigns held that year but Telugu Desam did not succeed in the elections.

Following which, Chandrababu Naidu and Junior NTR’s relationship grew apart. The 2014 elections indicated that the differences were far from over as the Telugu Desam won and Junior NTR was sidelined from the victory. At the same time, Chandrababu made his son Nara Lokesh as the head of the party which further diminished Junior NTR’s role in the Telugu Desam Party. Even this year, Junior NTR did not receive a special invitation for the TDP Mahanadu.

However, Junior NTR chose to reply in a different approach. On the eve of his grandfather NTR’s 92nd birth anniversary, Jr NTR paid his tributes and launched an Ad where he reminded everyone that he is the true successor.
