Amaravati: The 25-acre banana and maize field in the tiny habitat of Tallayapalem is being spruced up for the State government to lay foundation stone for the capital city of Amaravati. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu would lay foundation stone for the capital city on June 6.


The date and muhurtham were already set by the astrologers, while the revenue officials, in consultation with the Vastu pundits have zeroed in on Tallayapalem, the hamlet of Mandadam, for the foundation stone. The officials have selected this 25-acre site which was given in land pooling by the farmers.


The officials have first decided to have the foundation ceremony between Venkatapalem and Tallayapalem villages, located in the north-east of Thulluru mandal.
