Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has no courage to speak critically of NDA government or Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the issue of conferring special status to Andhra Pradesh. • Lambasts CM for failing to fulfill poll promises
  • Concludes two-day Samara Deeksha
  • YSRCP chief exudes confidence of winning next elections
Mangalagiri (Guntur): "Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has no courage to speak critically of NDA government or Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the issue of conferring special status to Andhra Pradesh. Neither does he have guts to speak critically of Modi in English or Hindi as he would understand it,” stated Y S Jaganmohan Reddy while lashing out at Chandrababu during his address at the conclusion of his two-day Samara Deeksha at the sprawling open grounds on Mangalagiri highway here on Thursday.

More than 25 YSRCP leaders including MPs, MLAs and ex-MLAs spoke throughout the day denouncing Chandrababu Naidu's lackadaisical attitude towards fulfillment of poll and pre-poll promises made in 2014. Jagan Reddy also showed clippings of speeches made by Chandrababu Naidu during electioneering in 2014 and his particular reference to the promises made relating to loan waiver to farmers and women groups, a job to every family or payment of monthly un-employment doles to the un-employed youth, to prove his point and also point out the paradox between the promises made then and his reaction to the criticism of un-fulfillment of
his promises.

The YSRCP president was overwhelmed over tremendous response to his two-day Samara Deeksha mostly from women, youth and farmers. Reacting to the Chief Minister's speech in West Godavari district today, making light of his election pledges saying that they have no relevance today as they were made during the padayatra and before the bifurcation of the State, Jagan said it was shocking and reflected Naidu’s escapist tendencies.

Jagan predicted that it would be difficult for Babu to continue as Chief Minister for another two years as rebellion was brewing among all sections of the people. Jagan declared that he would be the next chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, whenever elections are held. The YSRCP president described as a big farce, the oath taking ceremony conducted by Naidu at Vijayawada administering oath of providing a corruption-free administration and society.

While denouncing TDP government's effort to browbeat the farmers to surrender their fertile lands for capital building, he promised to return all the lands forcibly taken away from the farmers if his government was voted to power in the next elections. Jagan also vowed to make Chandrababu restless and give him sleepless nights on his non-performance by continuing his systematic campaign against him as the head of principal opposition party.

Despite simmering temperature, the crowds braving heat wave sat at the day-long sessions in which more than 25 leaders spoke. There was enthusiastic response to criticism of Naidu and every time there was reference to Y S Rajasekhara Reddy by leaders. Prominent among those who spoke include, Nellore MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, senior leader Umareddy Venkateswarlu, MLAs Roja, K Nani, Visveshwar Reddy and a host of top YSRCP leaders.

YSRCP sympathiser Lakshmi Parvathi was the star attraction. She made people burst into laughter throughout her speech by her sarcastic comments on Chandrababu referring to him as her son-in-law.
