For the past one week, rumours were rife that actor and Hindupur MLA will be made the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh if Chandrababu steps down.
Speculations had it that the AP CM could quit as CM if the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau files the supplementary FIR naming him as an accused in cash-for-vote scam.
There was growing demand to make Balakrishna the chief minister of AP if Chandrababu resigns. Even Congress leaders including Shabbir Ali advised Chandraabu to give a chance to Balakrishna.
On Monday, Bala Krishna tried to put an end to the speculations. He rubbished the reports of him becoming the chief minister of AP.
Speaking at the foundation day celebrations of Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital, the actor-turned-politician said that only Chandrababu will be the CM and he is the right candidate to lead the State and party.
