Dr Swarnalatha, in-charge of Jeevandan programme said, for the first time donations from three brain dead people were simultaneously occurred in a single day and the organs were transplanted on the same day. With this, 632 organs were received from 138 donors within a span of two years, she said in a press release.

The family members of the Sadasiva, a 43-year-old, resident of Warangal, E Yadaiah, a 50-year-old resident of Yacharam, Ibrahimpatnam constituency and Appa Rao, a 58-year-old, resident of Meerpet, Hyderabad had given consent to Jeevandan for organ donation.
Six kidneys, two livers, two heart valves and six corneas retrieved and donated organs have been distributed to the needy patients. Jeevandan wholeheartedly appreciates three donor families that have consented for organ donation and for saving 14
