Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday inaugurated Maha Pushkaranam in Diwan Cheruvu Reserve Forest in East Godavari District near Rajahmundry.


On the occasion, Chandrababu unveiled the Pushkaravanam, planted saplings and said that the growth would be monitored through Geo-tagging. The Chief Minister made an appeal to the public to plant at least 10 saplings each.


Announcing that 50 crore saplings would be planted this year, Chandrababu alleged that the Congress regime planted trees in order to garner publicity but around 4.81 crore people participated in Godavari Pushkaralu. Mr Naidu appreciated the residents of the East and West Godavari districts for serving the devotees generously.
