Vijayawada: Jana Sena party chief Pawan Kalyan came down heavily on TDP Ministers for their comments on land acquisition. “Why unnecessary ruckus over just 3,000 acres of land,” he asked. The popular star said that capital will not flourish if it was built on the tears of poor farmers.

Pawan said when he gently tweeted not to go for forceful land acquisition, Ministers Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and Ravela Kishore Babu found fault with it. He said when he praised Chandrababu for his services during Hudhud cyclone in Visakhapatnam, TDP leaders praised him. But when he started supporting poor farmers, the TDP leaders are depicting him as a man who is obstructing development, which is unfair.

  • Says that capital will not flourish if it is built on the tears of poor farmers
  • Claims he is above caste equations as he named his two children in a church and Hindu temple
  • Warns of caste conflicts between Rayalaseema and Andhra regions

He advised the TDP leaders not to adopt reckless attitude towards poor farmers. Going further, he alleged that TDP leaders started a campaign that only youth of a particular caste were extending support to him. He said he was above caste and his two children were named in a Church and Hindu temple.

He cautioned the TDP leaders not to underestimate the power of poor farmers or weaker sections and said that nearly 10 members of family were ekeing out living on a piece of 20 to 30 cents of land. He said that more injustice was done to Rayalaseema due to bifurcation. There was a chance for creating imbalance between different regions with the hasty comments of leaders.

He warned that if the government fails to act properly there is chance of caste conflict erupting between two regions in the State. He said farmers were ready to give their lands for development of roads, however, government should not forcefully take away their lands. Finally, he expressed confidence on CM’s administration and hoped that he would render justice to poor farmers.
