AP govt announces ex-gratia for Makkah crane crash victims

Rs 3 lakh ex-gratia has been announced for the children of two pilgrims of Machlipatnam in Krishna district who lost their lives in the Mecca crane crash by the Andhra Pradesh government.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu consulted the officials on the tragedy and sought reports from Secretary Minority Welfare Shaikh Mohammed Iqbal and Minority Welfare Minister P Raghunath Reddy.

Expressing sorrow over the death of the pilgrims in the tragedy, Chandrababu sanctioned Rs. 3 lakh per head for their children from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
