Two students have allegedly committed suicide in two different incidents in Guntur district on Saturday.
According to reports, Surya Rao (22), who was studying second year MSC from Bapatla agriculture university, committed suicide in Guntur in the afternoon.
He consumed pesticides at his hostel room and died while undergoing treatment at the Bapatla government hospital.
The reason behind his suicide is yet to be known, police said. The police registered a case and began investigation.
In another incident, a girl student allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from ceiling of her hostel room in Anantapur. The deceased has been identified as Parameswari from Chittoor district.
