Eluru: Medical and Health Minister Dr. Kamineni Srinivas here on Sunday said that no government hospital will be privatised in the State.Speaking to the media, the Minister said that the management of the hospitals will be definitely under the control of the government.

He said the government hospitals will be linked to the medical colleges. With this linkage, the medical colleges’ managements will expend Rs 25 to 30 crore to develop infrastructure in these area hospitals.

He said the government may not collect any fee from the patients at the time of linkage or after the linkage.He said the NDA government is committed to according special status to Andhra Pradesh. Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu was taking special care in the matter, he added.

He pointed out that the Centre has sanctioned power projects with a total capacity of 6,500 megawatts to help the State overcome the power crisis.

He said the Centre was extending support to the State government for the development of the State. Minister for Women Empowerment and Child Welfare Peethala Sujatha and Eluru MLA Badeti Bujji also participated in the media conference.

Andhra Hospitals inaugurated

Dr Srinivas inaugurated 100-bed Andhra Hospital at Ramachandraraopet here on Sunday. He along with another Minister Peethala Sujatha,

MLAs Chintamaneni Prabhakar and Badeti Kota Rama Rao visited all the floors in the hospital and have a glance of the facilities provided by the hospital management.
