Jana Chaitanya Vedika had filed a PIL in the court over the death of farmers in the two Telugu states. The court said the compensation to the bereaved families was not the only solution and why wasn't the Government not analysing the reasons behind suicides?
The court directed both the Governments to take necessary steps to prevent farmers from committing suicide. The court has posted the matter for further hearing to October 13.
