Former Ranji cricketer Maddineni Durga Bhavani who recently made headlines over her alleged sexual harassment committed suicide at her residence on Sunday.
Durga Bhavani, an all-rounder from Vijayawada filed a complaint against a former ACA general secretary alleging sexual harassment but later withdrew her complaint against the official stating that she had been forced by an official from Tirupati to do so.
The Machavaram police informed that Bhavani was found hanging from the ceiling in her house in Gunadala. She was found by her cousin Durgamba who came to visit her. She immediately called Bhavani’s brother who rushed to spot, said the police.
