YSR Congress party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday made it clear that he will not take part in the stone laying ceremony for the AP capital. He shot off an open letter to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today.
In the letter, the YSRCP chief mentioned that he has decided to stay away from the foundation ceremony that is a result of public anger.

"We have been opposing the Government's moves of taking away fertile lands from the farmers from the beginning, but the Government has not changed its decision. I have decided not to attend the ceremony as the Government snatched away the source of livelihood of farmers," he said.

He asked why Section 30 and Section 144 are being enforced in the capital area if people are happy.
The YSRCP chief also took objection to spending as much as Rs 400 crore money in the name of ceremony. He further asked the Government as to why it is going for foreign companies when the Centre is funding.
