A youngster named Venkatraju committed suicide for not able to grab an opportunity as singer in films. The 24-year-old youngster allegedly committed suicide in Peddapuram in East Godavari district. Venkatraju hailed from Srikrishnapatnam in Rajanagaram mandal and had completed his intermediate studies. But harbouring the dream of becoming a singer, he visited Chennai and Hyderabad several times but was not able to get one chance.
Venkatraju’s father Srinivas was a farmer who had taken two acres of land on lease while his brother worked in a private firm. Venkatraju, however never revealed his dream of becoming a singer to his family and took money from them on the pretext of pursuing higher studies.
Venkatraju unable to face repeated failure went to a lodge and hanged himself in a room. The staff, suspecting something wrong, informed the police who broke down the doors and found his body hung to the ceiling. Police have registered a case and have begun the investigation.
