AP Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on Tuesday directed officials in the state to cut down expenditure drastically as the state treasury is not having enough funds for the welfare schemes and employee salaries.
Addressing the officials in the state Secretariat in Hyderabad in a meeting on Tuesday, the finance minister informed them that the state is currently having a deficit budget of Rs 7,000 crores during the 2015-16 fiscal. He also stated that a notification would be issued regarding the same to all the secretaries of all the ministries and departments.
