The Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) felicitated former cricketer MSK Prasad, who has been appointed as the Senior Selection Committee member for the Board of Cricket Control (BCCI) at the Krishna District Cricket Association’s new play field at Mulapadu on Thursday.

“It is a matter of fact that we have got separated from Telangana not because we wanted it during the Jai Andhra movement long ago, but KCR wanted a separate State. We did not ask for the separation but it is for good for the prosperity of the Andhra Pradesh’’, said the educationlist Nalluri Venkateswarlu.

Nalluri VenkateswarluSpeaking to The Hans India, Venkateswarlu, in a brief catch up on what his vision is for the new State and capital Amaravati said that the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is a visionary. With a personality like him as a leader is a boon to the people of Andhra Pradesh. The location of capital Amaravati is very ideal and the name is pious with great history behind.

From the beginning of Jai Andhra movement, we always believed that Andhra region can tune as one of the model State for the entire country with its rich physical and natural resources. The coastal belt is a blessing in itself. The State is going to witness more industrial and commercial activity in the near future that will benefit the younger and forthcoming generations. Obviously, there are going to be employment opportunities, he said.

On his say about how non-resident Indian’s should contribute their efforts to the development of their hometowns, Venkateswarlu opined that there are people who initiate to come back to their native places or are willing to encourage organizations that are working towards development of their place or village. But, for NRI’s given their financial stability, it is feasible for them to start up in the State with a safe investment.

He felt that the small scale industries development corporation should come forward in enlightening the entrepreneurs as to how to solve their start up problems during the course of their business. ‘’Due to lack of support from the organizations, 50 per cent of the small scale industries are a flop in our district. Government has to shoulder the responsibility of educating people on what the healthy aspects are, regions and methods of investing that could earn dividends’’.

Venkateswarlu firmly believes that optimism and continuous efforts will take the start up or an initiative towards success. Out of ten people or students, only one or two are ready to risk it with courage. The others are afraid of taking a step forward. Among the people who are willing to face challenges, 90 per cent of them experienced success. Educational institutions today should enable their students to acquire industry adaptable skills rather than a mere degree. The existence of the institute is questionable if it fails to equip their students with skill based training to make them employable, he added.

Tourism is also another sector where there is tremendous scope for development in the State. Goa in our country is a perfect example of how a State can earn revenue from utilizing coastal region, in which we are rich. Development and establishment of ports will also favor cheapest mode of transportation in the future. Our future generations are going to live in a blissful place, he concluded.
