Speculations are rife that Pawan Kalyan's Janasena party will contest the upcoming GHMC elections. However, at a press conference in Vijayawada today, Pawan indicated that the Janasena may not contest the polls this time.

Though he evaded questions on the Janasena fighting the GHMC elections by saying that this was not the right platform to comment, he however, said that he has no money to contest the polls and he would come to active politics by 2019.

The Janasena chief also said that discussion on the GHMC elections did not come up during his meeting with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Political analysts feel that Pawan has decided to wait for some more time before testing waters in Telangana. But it is understood that he will extend his party's support to the BJP-TDP combine candidates in the polls as his meeting with Chandrababu ended in a fruitful manner.

It appears that the relation between Pawan Kalyan and TDP is very much on good terms. Pawan did not make any statements against Chandrababu.
