Wants administration to function from capital region from June

Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu gave a final call to the employees to shift to the new capital region. The Chief Minister had earlier asked the employees to shift to the new capital by June 2016 and had even set the deadline of June 2017 to get the local status.

Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, Naidu wanted the government employees to move out of Hyderabad to the new capital by June next year. He said it had become difficult for him to run the administration with the employees working in Hyderabad. “I am working from here and it is difficult to handle administration if the employees are not here,” he added.

He had already directed the officials to identify accommodation for housing and offices for the employees. The administrations of Krishna and Guntur districts have already identified some buildings to house the government offices and even apartments for the residential purposes.

The Chief Minister had also, the other day, advised the people of Vijayawada and Guntur to bring down the rental values so that the employees would come here. Keeping all these factors, the Chief Minister had given his final word on Thursday setting June 2016 as deadline for them to move out of Hyderabad.

On the question of his possible stay in Hyderabad at the weekends, Naidu said that his stay in Hyderabad would depend on the requirement as he also had to look after the party in the Telangana State.
