Quake hits Prakasam district

Mild tremors were felt at Ongole district center in Prakasam district on Saturday morning. A slight stir was witnessed where the ground shook and panic emerged among the people in surrounding areas.

While the magnitude of the earth quake was very less and lasted for a short time, no damage to property was reported. While Ongole region faced 12 earthquakes in the past 30 years, it comes under the moderate damage risk zone.
