Excise wing to allocate 42 shops under govt control

Visakhapatnam: The District Prohibition and Excise Department would allocate 42 wine shops, which were presently under the government control, to those interested parties through draw of lots, informed Excise Superintendent P Sridhar.

He said here on Saturday that there are six shops under the limits of Vizag excise unit, 24 in Gajuwaka unit and 12 in Anakapalli unit and those interested can apply on or before 5 pm on December 2. Applications are available in the respective excise units. More details can be obtained from the office of Excise Superintendent, Assistant Commissioner, Gajuwaka and Deputy Commissioner, Anakapalli.

Sridhar informed that the draw of lots would be taken out by Collector N Yuvaraj on December 2 at 5 pm at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Madhavadhara. The shops thus selected through draw of lots would be allotted for 2015-17 period, he added.
