Guntur MP Galla Jayadev pledged to donate all his organs to the Government General Hospital in Guntur. He participated in a public meeting to create awareness among the youth on organ donation.
With the support of the CGH, he himself organised the awareness campaign. Scores of students from various colleges attended the programme. Speaking at the programme, he called on the youth to come forward for organ donation. "The organs of the young people are important than old people. Every year, thousands of people have been killed in road accidents and other diseases. Those persons' organs can be used for needy persons," he said.
