Vijayawada: The students of Maris Stella College organised a gala fete in order to raise funds for social and service programmes as a part of their annual custom. The fete was inaugurated by correspondent Sr Sleeva Thumma. The event saw scores of youngsters, both girls and boys, swarming up the premises where several play games, fun activities, food, fancy and cultural activities were held.
College campus was equipped with push carts, set ups that offered a variety of ladies products from safety pin to expensive jewelry and interior show pieces. There is unlimited variety in food from road side knick knacks to fast foods, Biryani and thali besides vegetarian and non-vegetarian varieties. Chat Bhandars and Mirchi Bajji centers catered to the visitors and students to join this cause.
Besides games, competitions like Miss Maris Stella, Mrs Maris Stella, Miss Traditional, Miss Telugu Ammayi, Supermodel and lecturers show enthralled the gathering and visitors.
Principal of the College Sr C Rekha said that the fete was an annual affair to raise funds for the needy. College gates would be open for public only on fete day. Staff of Intermediate, degree and post-graduation, MBA departments participated in the event.
