Hyderabad: YSR Congress party demanded the TDP government to refrain from influencing investigation of the ‘call money racket’ that came to light recently in Vijayawada.
Addressing media persons here on Sunday, party senior leader K Parthasarathi said that there were reports of alleged links of perpetrators of the crime with TDP leaders. He alleged that the accused are trying to go scot free by using their political clout and demanded that the culprits should be brought to book.
Stating that his party would raise the issue in the ensuing winter session in Assembly, “Ever since the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said in the Collectors’ conference that TDP cadre should be given a free hand as they have an election to win, the message has sunk deep among the bureaucrats and they are playing mere spectators even with the reports of cadre going berserk,” he accused.
