Commissioner of Police Gautam Sawang who was sanctioned leave for a fortnight has come under scrutiny of the opposition parties as they cried foul over the sudden departure of the Commissioner particularly at the time when the Call Money scam has intensified in the state.

Commissioner of Police Gautam Sawang who was sanctioned leave for a fortnight has come under scrutiny of the opposition parties as they cried foul over the sudden departure of the Commissioner particularly at the time when the Call Money scam has intensified in the state.
Although the Commissioner was sanctioned leave based on his request in November, the Opposition leaders alleged that it was the TDP government's move to protect it's own party leaders involved in the scam as soon as it was announced that Sawang would go on leave.
In the wake of the Opposition and the investigation into case getting intensified, the Commissioner has decided to cancel his leave.
