Woman dies as car overturns

A 75-year-old woman was killed in a road mishap when a speedy car overturned near Kuneru village in Komarada mandal in Vizianagaram district on Saturday.
Vizianagaram: A 75-year-old woman was killed in a road mishap when a speedy car overturned near Kuneru village in Komarada mandal in Vizianagaram district on Saturday.
According to circle inspector of Parvathipuram S Chandrasekhar, K Seetharama Swamy, resident of Komatipalli village in Badangi mandal, went to Durgamma temple at Rayagada in Odisha district, along with his family, in his car. While returning to his native place, Seetharama Swamy, who was driving the car lost control over the steering, and as a result the vehicle overturned. His mother Gayatridevi (75) and his wife Sujatha and daughter Gowthami were seriously injured in the accident.
Gayatri Devi died while being shifted to a hospital, while the condition of the three of them, including Swamy, is stated to be serious. On receiving information, police rushed to the spot and registered a case.
