Private universities bill faces opposition from students

Activists of PDSU and several other students organisations staged a protest in front of the Assembly opposing the private universities bill which will be introduced by the state Government to facilitate establishment of private universities in the state.
The Bill encourages higher education through private universities in the state and the decision to invite 20 top universities to establish their branches in the state initially has taken by the government. But the activists demanded for justice to the students as they raised slogans that the government universities needed to be improved prior to the private universities establishment. However, the protest was obstructed by the police who arrested the students who mobbed the Assembly.
