Two drown in Penna river

Two youngsters drowned in the Penna river on Wednesday evening and another escaped from the mishap. According to police, K Jayapal, K Chakrapani and Ch Pavan Kumar of Veguru Kandrika village in Kovur mandal went for swimming in the river and ventured into a deeper part of the water body.
Nellore: Two youngsters drowned in the Penna river on Wednesday evening and another escaped from the mishap. According to police, K Jayapal, K Chakrapani and Ch Pavan Kumar of Veguru Kandrika village in Kovur mandal went for swimming in the river and ventured into a deeper part of the water body.
But, Jayapal and Chakrapani failed to come back and drowned. However, Pavan Kumar managed to get back to the shores and informed to villagers about the incident. They began search for Jayapal and Chakrapani but they could not find till late evening.
