Vijayawada: Given fall of weekend, Swarajya Maidan in the city where the 27th Vijayawada annual book festival is being held was thronged by public on Saturday. Parents were seen accompanying their children to the stalls where a large variety of books in different genres are displayed.
The campus of the book festival turned into most happening place. Meanwhile, the management committee of the Vijayawada Book Festival Society organised centenary memorial of Chalasani Prasad, an eminent writer.
Singampalli Ashok Kumar, C S R Prasad from Viplava Rachayithala Sangham (Virasam) and Kothapalli Ravi Babu from Jana Sahithi spoke about the works and merit of Chalasani Prasad.
