Janmabhoomi for village development: Dy CM

Kurnool: Deputy Chief Minister K E Krishnamurthy said here on Saturday that Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru programme was taken up for the development of the villages. Participating in the third-round Janmabhoomi programme at Panchalingala village in Kurnool mandal as chief guest, the Dy CM made the people take oath on the implementation of Janmabhoomi programme.

Addressing the meeting, the Dy CM said that smart village and smart wards programme would be taken up as part of third round of Janmabhoomi for the overall development of the villages. He announced that 12.34 lakh new ration cards would be distributed throughout the state in the Janmabhoomi programme. The state government took a decision to lay three-km concrete roads in each and every village under NREGS, he added.

Efforts are being made to provide protected drinking water in all villages after testing water for the presence of fluoride, the senior TDP leader said and added that 43.74 lakh pensions would be distributed during the present Janmabhoomi programme. He said that the land records would be completely digitalised under Mee Intiki Mee Bhoomi programme. He said that 1.93 lakh houses would be constructed for the poor by the government.

Referring to the animal welfare programmes, he said that Animal Husbandry department is conducting free veterinary camps and distributing free medicines for sheep and goats. The Dy CM said that government hospitals would be upgraded on the lines of corporate hospitals.

District Collector Ch Vijaymohan said that 62 white ration cards, 461 pensions are being distributed in Panchalingala village. He said that 40 farmers were identified to give aid for digging farm ponds in their fields under Panta Sanjivani scheme. He appealed to the farmers to come forward to dig farm ponds in their fields. Later, the pensions, ration cards and Abhaya Hastam pensions were distributed in the village.
