Anantapur: People’s representatives and officials are approaching the doorsteps of the people seeking to know their needs, while telling them what the government has already done for their welfare, observed IT Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy.

Participating in the Janmabhoomi-Maa Uru programme along with DGP J V Ramudu, Collector K Sashidhar and SP Rajasekhar Babu at Narsampalli village in Tadimarri mandal on Tuesday, he sought details about basic needs like drinking water, pensions, CC roads and drainage canals. He assured the people to fulfil these basic needs.

The Minister along with DGP and Collector attended ‘Seemantham’ programme. The Minister Complemented the DGP and retired IT Commissioner Narsimappa for their efforts to put Narsampalli on the State’s map, after the DGP adopted it. It was laudable for the top cop to take up village development, he observed while assuring his cooperation in completing this task. So far, Rs 5.4 crore has been spent to build a community hall, drainage canals and CC roads in the village.

The DGP stated that development was possible if everyone worked with selfless motive and a sense of belonging. It was blessing that the State has good officers who promptly comply with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s orders.

The Collector disclosed that of the 2.32 lakh representations received so far during the three phases of the programme, 2,30,500 have been disposed of.

Dharmavaram MLA G Suryanarayana said the district would be turned green after filling of all tanks with water release from the completed Handri-Neeva project.
