1,000 nurse posts will be filled: Kamineni
Minister for Health Kamineni Srinivas said that 1,000 nurse posts will be filled up across the State soon and of which some of the new appointees would be allotted to the King George Hospital (KGH), admitting the fact that the KGH, has been facing severe problem with the lack of sufficient strength of nurses.

He inaugurated the Sick New Born Care Unit set up at the KGH with a cost of Rs 38 lakh here on Thursday. Later, he along with MP K Hari Babu, visited the Maternity Ward where he examined the food being provided to women. The Minister enquired about the quality of food being served to women patients. He appealed to the doctors, nurses and other staff to render good service to patients.
He informed that they are taking doctors on deputation and the government’s priority is to further develop the KGH. Local MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar, KGH superintendent Dr M Madhusudana Babu and others accompanied the Minister.
