YSRCP chief and leader of opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy blasted the TDP government for ignoring the plight of the farmers. Addressing the gathering at the 'Rythu Bharosa Yatra' on Friday at Bathulapalli village in Anantapur district, YS Jagan said that Cheif Minister Chandrababu Naidu's rule is filled with deception as the poll promises made before the elections are now cast away.

Accusing the government of not taking any measures towards the drought hit mandals, Jagan added that the government failed to provide ex-gratia to the families of those farmers who committed suicide.

The YSRCP Chief anguished over the fact that Chandrababu did not react even after 100 farmers committed suicide in Anantapur district alone. Pointing out the poll promises including loan waivers to the farmers, Jagan said that Chandrababu neither waved off the loans nor the interest on those loans instead an interest amount of 14% was being collected from the farmers on their loans.

Stating that YSR Congress strongly criticized the government in the Assembly on the issue, Jagan appealed for people to come together and fight against the injustice by the government.
