Kolimigundla (Kurnool): As many as 217 centres would be set up in the district for the ensuing SSC examinations, said DEO K Ravindranath Reddy. Speaking to newsmen here on Friday, after inspecting the Zilla Parishad High School, he said 54,000 students would appear for the SSC exams in the district this year.
Foolproof arrangements would be made for the smooth conduct of the exams, he added. He said that greater emphasis was laid on improvement in the pass percentage of government schools in the SSC exams. Special classes would be conducted for SSC students during holidays to enable them to fare well in the exams, the DEO added. MEO Kambaiah and school headmaster Prabhakar were also present.
