Gopuja held in a big way
The traditional practice of worshipping Kamadhenu called as ‘Gopuja’ on the occasion of Sankranti festival was organised on a large scale in the city by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) on Saturday. Thousands of women and children took part in the ritual.

The organisers made elaborate arrangements across Krishna district at various temples to conduct Gopuja. Deeparadhana, Mahaganapathi puja, Sri Gosuktha Vidhana Samuhika Gopuja, Neerajana Manthrapushpadhulu Samarpana, Go Pradhishinam, Go Vysishtya Pravachanam and Haridasu Nama Sankeerthana were held on the occasion. Later, Haridasulu were felicitated. The programme was held at Sri Kankadurga Temple in Gunadala, Sri Panduranga Swamy Temple and at Sri Sivaramaskhetra Goshala.
Coordinator of Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad for district M S K Kumar, secretary Prayaga Rama Krishna, temple priests and others were present.
