Speaking to media persons, the MLA said that the RTC was suffering losses as the State government neglected the corporation. He said the government was giving priority for hiring private services instead of increasing RTC services. He said as per the decision of the party president, YS Jaganmohan Reddy, the RTC employees would be treated on par with government employees if the party comes to power.
The YSRCP leader said that the government had failed to control the private services operators though they were fleecing the passengers during festival holidays.
YSRCP leaders including former minister K Parthasarathi, former MLAs Samineni Udayabhanu, Jogi Ramesh, Vangaveeti Radhakrishna, Nuzvid MLA Meka Pratap Appa Rao and Tiruvur MLA Rakshana Nidhi and others were present.
