Anantapur: Members of the Sri Krishnadevaraya University Joint Action Committee on Friday burnt an effigy of the State government to protest the registration of ‘illegal’ cases against MP Mithun Reddy and MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy belonging to YSR Congress Party.
The JAC leaders alleged that the government was ‘terrorising’ those who question it by foisting false cases against them.
They accused Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of not honouring his promises made during the 2014 election campaign of dropping cases against those who participated in the Samaikyandhra agitation.
