Kakinada: Leader of opposition and president of YSRCP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy launched a scathing attack against the ruling TDP government, charging that it had failed on all fronts and had not implemented even a single promise made to the people.

Addressing, a public meet, which saw huge turnout at exhibition grounds, here on Wednesday evening Jagan said that youth were promised jobs and were asked to vote for him but no notification for recruitment as been issued despite large number of vacancies in the State. “What happened to the promise, ‘Jobu kavalante Babu ravali’? The youth were also promised of Rs 2,000 towards unemployment allowance, will it be a reality,” he questioned.

Coming down heavily on TDP rule he said that the loan waiver was announced with much fanfare to both women SHGs and farmers but the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu failed them. “CM reneged on the promises made to the people. Our fight is against a man, who sells lies for a living,” he charged.

Alleging of corruption charges in irrigation projects, “Rabi season has started but farmers are in affix with water scarcity. No irrigation project has solved water woes. Pattiseema Lift Irrigation Schemme was started to pocket commissions,” he alleged.

Jagan lambasted the formation of committees for selection of beneficiaries for old age and widow pension’s disbursement. Earlier Jagan invited the former Kakinada rural MLA, K Kannababu, former Kakinada MLA Mutta Gopala Krishna, his son Mutta Shasidhar in to the party. Speaking on the occasion, Kannababu said that he joined the YSRCP to serve the people as the TDP failed miserably in meeting needs of common man. East Godavari YSRCP unit president Jyotula Nehru presided over the meeting.
