Tirupati: A Papa Rao, retired Professor of Anthropology, SV University has been selected for the ‘Dr Panchanan Mitra Memorial Lectureship’ award of The Asiatic Society, Kolkata, for the year 2015.
It may be noted here that Papa Rao is the first recipient from southern states to win award.Currently, Rao is holding the UGC Emeritus Fellowship in the Department of Anthropology.
