Guntur: District Collector Kantilal Dande has called upon medical officers and health workers to popularise the NTR Arogya Seva scheme and the free diseases diagnostic services launched at the district hospital, regional hospitals and community health centres and also at the primary health centres.

Participating in a review meet with the medical and health staff here on Thursday, Kantilal said that free diagnostic services, free Tele-Radiology services, 102 call centres, Mother and Child Express services for pregnant women had been launched from January 1 while the same services had been launched at the Regional and Community hospitals from January 15.

The Collector said that these services would be made available at the Primary Health Centres from January 31 in all mandals.

Kantilal said that the doctors and other medical staff should be well versed with the schemes. They should educate the people in course of their performing their duties so that people could stay healthy and medically fit. At the PHC level 19 clinical tests, at the regional and community hospitals 40 clinical tests for diagnosis of various diseases are being performed for the benefit of people.

GGH Superintendent Raja Naidu and Regional medical director Dr Jayachandra Reddy and others were present.
