MGNREGA workers to get 180 a day from Feb
Workers of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) would get a daily wage of Rs 180 with the revision of Rural Standard Schedule of Rates (RSSR).

District Water Management Agency (DWMA) Project Director Ch Pulla Reddy, in a statement here on Thursday, said a GO was issued for implementation of the revised wages for MGNREGA workers with effect from February.
The workers in the State were getting an average daily wage of Rs 121 till now. Migration of agricultural workers from drought-hit villages in the district would be checked by effective implementation of MGNREGA.
Digging of farm ponds would be taken up in villages in a big way under the Panta Sanjeevani programme to generate employment for farm workers, he said.
