Kakinada: YSRCP leaders expressed their resentment over the conduct of Kapu Garjana meet at Tuni in East Godavari on Sunday by Kapunadu leader Mudragada Padmanabham.

The leaders found fault with Mudragada for not inviting prominent Kapu leaders who attended the meet from different political parties, to speak on the issue. He just spoke for few minutes and asked agitators to sit on rail tracks and block NH16.

The YSRCP Kakinada parliamentary constituency in- charge Chalamalasetty Sunil and party State women’s wing president Kolli Nirmala Kumari expressed resentment over loss of property.

The two leaders also expressed their concern over agitation taking a violent turn and burning of rail compartments and police stations , police vehicles and police headquarters.

The two regretted the inconvenience caused to thousands of passengers across the State because as many as 20 trains were stranded at various railway stations route.

In total five police vehicles, Kakinada rural police station and police headquarters turned to ashes in the in the violent incidents on Sunday.
