The protestors at Tuni pelted stones and attacked the police before setting a train on fire.

Soon after the incident, Pawan immediately left from his Sardaar Gabbar Singh sets to address the press, while his brother and the then PRP chief Chiranjeevi chose to dash off a letter to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

In the letter to the AP CM, Chiranjeevi expressed shock over the unfortunate incident. He also criticized the TDP government for lack of transparency and also said that the TDP is creating unrest between the communities by adopting divide and rule policy.
