MLA inspects sanitation
Rural MLA P Ananta Lakshmi, as part of inspection of sanitation and infrastructure development in wards under Kakinada Rural Assembly constituency, inspected division 3, Swamy Nagar, Pratap NagarTeachers Colony areas in the city on Thursday.
Kakinada: Rural MLA P Ananta Lakshmi, as part of inspection of sanitation and infrastructure development in wards under Kakinada Rural Assembly constituency, inspected division 3, Swamy Nagar, Pratap NagarTeachers Colony areas in the city on Thursday. Basing on complaints by locals on movement of pigs in large numbers the MLA directed Municipal Commissioner to initiate action against pig menace.
The Commissioner said that already the municipal authorities initiated measures in this direction and started shifting of pigs found in divisions to East Godavari Agency area. The MLAdirteced the municipal authorities to lay new road in division No 3 at a cost of Rs 7 lakh.
She also directed the authorities to take up construction of compound walls for all government properties in Swamy Nagar, Prate Nagar, Teachers Colony and in division No 3 in D Mart area, Santanupuri Colony and Vada Peta areas in order to avert attempts to encroach the properties. Representations received from public during the visit were handed over to municipal authorities for action.
