Collector inspects adopted village
Collector Ch Vijaymohan on Friday took up surprise inspection in Peddapadu village adopted by him, in Kallur mandal, going round various streets to assess the progress of works. After noticing the roads taken up by the Panchayat Raj department, he remarked that their pace was slow.

Seeing sewerage flowing through houses, Vijaykumar asked SE Surendranath to order linking of the sewerage pipelines to the drainage system. He warned engineers and contractors that he would undertake daily visits and reviews to make sure the works were completed by the scheduled dates. The Collector asked officials to immediately build a platform after filling filth around the ORHS tank with mud.
The Collector took officials to task for leaving sewerage ponds and trash in the SC Colony. He instructed RWS AE to immediately arrange repair to the leaking water pipeline. He questioned Sarpanch Sridhar Reddy as to why plantation has not been taken up on either side of CC roads.
